About
SharLENE
PROVILUS
Sharlene Provilus is a Spoken Word poet, TEDx speaker, and artist whose story of adoption and redemption continues to shape the way she sees herself, encounters God, and serves others.
From orphanhood to belonging, her journey fuels a message of resilience, hope, and faith that resonates across generations and cultures. Known for her raw creativity, compelling presence, and practical teaching, Shar weaves together spoken word poetry, rhythm, and biblical truth to inspire audiences to encounter God and live in freedom.
For nearly a decade, Shar worked in the nonprofit space in youth development, serving young people and families in urban communities like the one she came from. At the YMCA of the Triangle—one of the nation’s most recognized and impactful associations—she served as a Senior Youth and Outreach Director with Community Hope, a neighborhood-based, literacy-focused mentorship program run in partnership with local churches. Her programs were housed in a church and served kids and families from the surrounding community, reaching hundreds of children, families, and volunteers across five sites. These years of literacy-based mentoring and community leadership continue to shape her creative vision as a writer and artist today.
Shar is the Founder and CEO of Write Speak Inspire™, LLC, a creative production and media company specializing in the development of original content, live events, and educational resources. She is also the co-founder of The Guild Creative Arts Conference, a gathering for Christian artists and leaders that equips and inspires them to create faithfully and lead with integrity. Her leadership in creative ministry has positioned her as a trusted voice for both emerging creatives and established leaders.
Over the past decade, Shar has spoken to thousands of people across the country—delivering keynotes, workshops, and performances in churches, college campuses, and conferences nationwide. She has shared platforms with nationally recognized pastors, leaders, and artists, and collaborated with voices such as Ezekiel Azonwu, Jess Ray, and The Verses Project. Her creative journey has also included acting in an independent film and founding Redeemed Art Collective, a ministry-based arts organization that nurtured Christian creatives and their work.
In addition to past ventures, Shar is an emerging recording artist and author. She is currently developing new music projects, books, and digital resources designed to help people deepen their faith, embrace their creative calling, and live with purpose.
At the heart of everything she creates is a simple conviction: honesty meets hope in the presence of God. Whether she’s on stage, online, or in a quiet moment with her writing, Shar’s work calls people into a deeper relationship with God and a greater awareness of His redemptive power.
