PROVILUS

Sharlene Provilus is a poet, author, speaker, educator, and multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, belonging, faith, and the transformative power of story.

Shaped by her own journey through foster care, adoption, family separation, and redemption, she creates work that helps people find their voice, understand their story, and recognize the power of who they are becoming.

Known for her compelling storytelling, creative teaching, and spoken-word performances, Shar blends poetry, lived experience, faith, and practical insight to create experiences that move audiences beyond inspiration toward meaningful reflection and action. She has shared her work with thousands across churches, colleges, conferences, schools, and community organizations throughout the United States.

Shar is the Founder and CEO of Write. Speak. Inspire™, a social impact organization using storytelling, education, leadership development, and lived experience to support young people impacted by foster care and adoption and equip the adults and organizations who serve them.

Her work extends beyond the stage through writing, music, books, media, educational programs, and live experiences centered on voice, identity, leadership, and belonging.

Across every expression of her work, Shar is building a body of art, education, media, and ministry rooted in one enduring belief: our words have the power to shape identity, create belonging, and change the world.
